My Morning Smoothies


Spinach Smoothie

1 cup liquid 
       (I typically use unsweetened coconut milk, almond milk, or a blend, but you can also use coconut water, regular milk, or water)
2 cups organic baby spinach

BLEND

Add 1/2 to 1 scoop of protein powder (I use strawberry or vanilla whey protein)
1/2 to 1 whole sliced banana (frozen)
1/2 to 1 cup of frozen pineapple (frozen)

BLEND

Breakfast Smoothie

1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 sliced and frozen banana
2-4 tablespoons of old-fashioned oats
1 tbsp powdered peanut butter
1 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk


Can also had handful of spinach, and/or protein powder

Strawberry Orange Dream Smoothie 

1/2 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt (or regular yogurt)
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut or almond mlk
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 orange (peeled)

Honey, if you want

* Makes two smoothies

Cinnamon Roll Smoothie

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1/4 cup old fashioned oats
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 frozen banana

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries or frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons PB2 or peanut butter
Do you want a little extra protein in your smoothie? Try adding one or all of these items.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seed
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seed
  • 1 handful of spinach
Instructions
  1. Place everything in the blender. Blend.

Ingredients
  • 1 pint {about 2 cups} blueberries, I use Driscoll's
  • 1 cup strawberries, I use Driscoll's
  • ½ banana
  • 6 cups of lacinato kale, chopped
  • ¼ cup lemon juice {about 1 lemon}
  • ¾ cup water
  • ⅓ cup chia seeds
  • 2 cups ice, optional

Peaches and Cream low-sugar smoothie

Peaches and Cream

Creamy coconut milk adds a silky texture without maxing out sugar. Your best bet: look for only coconut and water on the ingredient list. Blend with peaches, and you have an instant tropical treat.
SERVINGS: 2
1 c frozen peach slices
1 c canned light coconut milk
½ c water
1 tsp vanilla extract
handful ice
1 scoop protein powder (optional)
ADD all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Divide between two glasses and enjoy.
